About
The Early Years
I remember the very first website I did. It was a Geocities sponsored site sometime around 1998. I ran across it not long ago but not ask me what the website address is. it is something long and unmemorable like http://www.geocities.com/SOuthBeach/etc/etc/etc. This was pre-facebook, myspace, twitter and mostly any other online social community website. the only way to create your online ”presence” was to pretty much create your own. And I did; from scratch.
My geocities website was built without WYSIWYG software. Without knowing it I was teaching myselg HTML. I would code the entire website from scratch and marvel at what a few lines of code could create.
Teaching of this kind of skill was non-existant while I was attending North Carolina A&T State University as an engineering major between 1990 and 1995. Considering the world wide web was not a working product until the end of 1990 it would have been quite difficult to study such a field while I was in college.
Present Day
I always wanted to be an entrepreneur but more importantly I desired to create. It was this passion that led me to starting my web and graphic design business in 2004. Today Yellow Dogg Designs has established clientle throught the United States offering custom web development, branding, print promotional design and internet solutions.
